I owe my old mate Alan McGuiness an apology as he's been sending me stuff and I';ve not posted it up (yet). Anyroadup up this caught Biglorryblog's eye as Alan asked me: "Brian, further to your Guy Big J feature, just wondering how many people know what the 'J' stood for? As far as I am aware, and will stand to be corrected, it stands for Jaguar, because it was Jaguar who built the Big Js. Also thought you might like the attached Big J photo it was the very last registered Guy Big J-1988 on a E plate, from Bowaters Steel in the Midlands and had a 500 Fixed head in it." Mmmm...now that is a bit of history and what does everything think about Alan's Big J explanation?
