London Transport Museum---a flying Biglorryblog visit for the bus anoraks! It's PSV quiz time...
It's a bus aaarrgghhh!!!!!!! Well only the other day someone did ask me why it wasn't BigBUSblog as well as Biglorryblog...and having travelled up to the smoke this morning to meet his imperial greatness young Andy Salter I first popped into the excellent London Transport Museum in Covent Garden for a flying BLB photo visit and pie-quiz primer! So for starters what's this? Now click through here for more PSV memories including old double-deckers and trolley-buses ooooh!
Classic Routemaster and war-time double decker (what make?) with black-out headlights, white mud-guard markers and anti blast window curtains....
A variation on the theme of using sticky tape on windows....
Something for Roy Larkin to identify for us...? And a tram too!
Trolleybus time on Biglorryblog (and I never thought I'd be saying that!) So who made it and what was this one (it's a six-wheeler). Quite an efficient method of transport bar the odd hiccup...
Like when the pantograph came off the overhead wires! Then the conductor had to re-attach it with his very long bamboo pole...rubber soled shoes an advantage resumably?
And a view into the past with an extinct species (i.e.bus conductor)....
And the ultimate easy entry and access---which is now 100% H&S verbotten!
And here's the present..Wright double-decker...
