The Roadscapes 2011 Calendar on Biglorryblog! Classic trucks throughout the year from Alan Spillett! (And a new book on the way too...)

Christmas is coming, Biglorryblog is getting fat and Alan Spillet has produced another cracking 'Roadscapes' calender for the New Year!  And here's a taster for it--'Bury Hill'---for December and a wonderful AEC in the snow. The latest Roadscapes calendar retails for £15.00 and measures approx 12 x 16in (portrait format), is beautifully-printed and features no less than 14 different print copies of Alan's wonderfully-evocative 'classic transport' original paintings---one for each month and an extra front and back piece too!  Now click through here for more...

Yes it's 'Kate's Cabin'...the feature painting for March 2011 and it's long been a favourite backdrop for Alan as you can see here and below (and don't forget that Alan has a full selection of prints, both framed or 'loose', greetings cards, post cards and Xmas cards and you can find out all about them by clicking on his website which is at or by calling him on 01545 570862.)

See what I mean about Kate's cabin? This print is featured on one of the many post cards Alan also has (and for a pie where WAS Kate's Cabin Cafe?)

And you'll find this one on Alan's 2011 Calendar too (It's September) and it's one of my favourites from him...Spence Haulage's CF85 reefer negotiating the roundabout at a wet and windy Scotch Corner--you can really feel the motion of the truck in this...However if you DO want a Roadscapes Calendar, don't delay as Alan tells me "We have about 100 left only..."

And finally some really exciting news...Alan tells me: that next year, in October 2011, his  second book of  Roadscapes Paintings---"Roadscapes II"--will be pblished  with many new works in it. and he advises me to "Stay posted via our website".... If it's anything like the first one (that's it above and proudly sitting on BLB's 'lorry bookshelf' ) it'll be winner!
