Advanced Supply Chain has won a three-year deal with GO Outdoors to manage the retailer’s fulfilment warehouse and UK distribution operation to its 35-plus nationwide stores.

The contract will see Bradford-based Advanced investing £5m into its Corby, Northants site, which will support the logistics firm’s strategy to strengthen its Midlands operating base. Around 100 new jobs will be created at the facility, including drivers and warehouse roles.

Mike Danby, CEO at Advanced Supply Chain, says winning the deal with the “rapidly expanding” camping, sporting and outdoor goods retailer is a boost for the whole business.

He adds: “The GO Outdoors business will further assist the Advanced strategy of establishing a strong operational base in the Midlands, which will enable plans to offer cost-effective, nationwide, warehousing and distribution to all UK businesses irrespective of location.”

Advanced Supply Chain is a member of The Pallet Network, and runs of fleet of 60-plus tractor units and more than 150 trailers from five operating centres in Bradford, Halifax, Rugby, Manchester and Newhaven.
