Alan Firmin to move to new site as growth continues

Kent-based Alan Firmin will move to a new site in March, after outgrowing its Snodland base.

The Palletforce member, which in September 2011 branched out into containers appointing former Les Knight Transport MD Peter Knight to head the operation, will move to the Kemsely Fields Business Park next month.

The majority of the six-acre site will be used as yard space, and the whole area will include a two storey office block, warehouse, covered loading area, trailer servicing bay and parking facilities.

Michael Firmin MD says: “We have spent two years finding the right location, planning the site and building it to our own specification because we wanted to be sure we were creating a depot that works not only now but for the future.”

The firm, which became a Palletforce member in 2006, last year won a five-year deal with building materials manufacturer Knauf.
