Nissan launches NV400 panel van
Nissan has returned to the large panel van market with the launch of its new NV400 model.
Power for the new model comes from a 2.3-litre, common rail turbo diesel unit, used to produce three different power outputs, 100hp, 125hp and 150hp, that each meet the latest Euro-5 emissions levels.
A long awaited replacement for the Interstar, the NV400 is available with three roof heights and four body lengths, and can be specified with both front- and rear-wheel drive. The range starts at 2.8-tonnes, but GVWs of NV400 models will extend as far as 4.5-tonnes offering payloads of up to 2,176kg. A six-speed manual transmission is fitted as standard, however, a six-speed semi-automatic transmission will be available with the 125hp unit. Prices start from £18,995.
On hand to help launch the NV400 at an event in Malaga this week, was 12 times World Trials Champion Dougie Lampkin, who hopped and jump his way across the Nissan commercial vehicle range. Watch Dougie in action as he takes on the NV400, NV200 and Navara and in the video below.
