Norbert Dentressangle rises to Delice de France deal
Norbert Dentressangle (ND) has won a new temperature-controlled warehousing contract with baked goods manufacturer Delice de France.
The contract will see the logistics firm providing 3,500 pallet spaces within its shared-user cold store in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, with responsibility for receiving goods from Delice de France’s manufacturing facilities in the UK, Ireland and the USA. ND will then handle the picking of orders for delivery by Delice de France’s own fleet to customers throughout the UK.
The logistics firm says it uses specialist equipment for de-topping and inverting pallets from overseas, and has invested in voice technology to increase picking accuracy.
Previously, Southall-based Delice de France, which specialises in continental breads, viennoiserie, savoury and confectionery products, primarily to the foodservice and catering industries, operated its own warehouse in Stone, Staffordshire.
Dave Gregson, operation manager, Delice de France, says: “As one of the biggest providers of logistics services in the frozen food sector, we already knew Norbert Dentressangle by reputation and this was fully endorsed by their ability to provide the service we needed, in the right location and on the right terms.”
