Fruehauf enters rigid tipper market
Fruehauf has boosted its rigid tipper product range with the launch of a 7.5-tonner.
Best known for its tipping trailers, sales director David Thompson, said: “Some people don’t like the fact that we have entered the rigid tipper market. But we aren’t trying to put anyone out of business. We just want a slice of the market.”
Thompson said he would be happy if that slice was between 200 and 300 7.5-tonners per year, and said the company is off to a flying start.
It is building 50 Fuso Canter tippers for Mercedes-Benz dealer Sparshatts of Kent.
Bodies are built in advance, allowing Fruehauf to offer 7.5-tonne tipper customers a seven-day turnaround.
