Give Scotland's hauliers a fuel tax break, says FPB
The trade association also wants the introduction of a small business fuel allowance, similar to the winter fuel allowance for older people, to be introduced by the Scottish Parliament.
FPB, chief executive Phil Orford, says: “We know high fuel costs are a major barrier to firms in the more remote parts of Scotland – the cost of distribution has been identified in our own research as a major disadvantage to firms here.”
"Promoting the succes of Scottish businesses despite the tough conditions is going to be an important part of this campaign. There are small firms in Scotland that are thriving and we want to shout about it."
The association also wants to see a reduction in business red-tape and more spending on infrastructure.
The latest push is part of its broader Get Britain Trading campaign.
