Still no date for Vosa OCRS changes
Vosa says it is will seek views from the industry before arranging a new date for the introduction of changes to its Operator Compliance Risk Score (OCRS) system.
The changes were originally scheduled to take effect on 30 April but Vosa had warned operators that unspecified “technical issues” would delay their introduction.
A Vosa spokesman says: “The problem is not related to the existing scoring system - that's working OK. We have encountered an issue in integrating the changes with the existing system during testing. We are in the process of resolving the issue and this will be followed by rigorous system testing.
“We will be seeking views from the industry before arranging another introduction date,” he adds.
Vosa overhauled the programme’s predictive scoring system after hauliers and the Freight Transport Association said it created a “misplaced assumption by the wider business community that OCRS is a good way to judge an operator at tender”.
