Response to consultation on EC Regulation 1071/2009 published by DfT today, by Tim Ridyard, Solicitor, Woodfines

As you will be aware there are o-licence changes afoot with effect from December 2011 affecting all Standard National licence holders in relation to repute, financial standing, transport managers ( including grandfather rights issues and introduciton of a single International CPC qualiification ). The document below is the DfT response to a Consultation earlier in the year.

Expect the related UK regulations to be published later on in the autumn.

All Standard Licence holders should also expect to receive a letter from the Office of the Traffic Commissioner in Leeds requiring information which I believe will include confimation of details concerning transport manager arrangements.
