Bidvest Logistics rolls out new state-of-the-art fleet
Bidvest Logistics has taken delivery of the first vehicles of a new eco-friendly fleet and between now and January 2012 will hit the road with a total of 108 26-tonne DAF's carrying the distinctive Bidvest Logistics branding.
The 108 newly commissioned DAF LF55 220 Euro 5 vehicles are fitted with the latest technology, creating a fleet with up-to-date eco credentials. They exceed the UK government's carbon emission recommendations and will be 100% compliant for London 2012 emission targets, and are fitted with frigoblock electric twin evaporator refrigeration systems to reduce Bidvest Logistics carbon footprint. Microlise telematics has also been installed giving vehicle and delivery tracking as well as driving style data to improve fleet management.
