New Vosa-approved Sun Commercial smoke meter from Snap-On Diagnostics
Snap-on Diagnostics, world leaders in advanced automotive testing equipment, has announced the introduction of its new Sun commercial smoke meter with 7" touch screen tablet PC. Snap-on used the recent Commercial Vehicle Show to announce its major launch into the commercial vehicle market. The first two CV offerings to be introduced were a truck diagnostics tool under the Sun brand and a Sun KoolKare HD vehicle air conditioning recycling centre. Snap-on is the clear UK brand leader in the automotive market for both these product categories as it is also in smoke diagnostic emissions analysis and it is hoping to achieve similar success now in the CV market. The new Sun commercial smoke meter (pictured) features a wireless operation with an extensive operating range. It meets and exceeds all current VOSA specifications and has approval for Category A & B, including the RPC test. It uses the same powerful industry standard 7" touch screen tablet PC which permits the storing of customer information and a monochrome laser jet printer for hard copy print out of test results. It comes complete with fast autocal and fast pass software, the smart technology ensuring quick operation every time. The unit has a long life and fast charge battery and its capabilities include an optional wireless RPM and a wireless oil temperature probe. Other optional extras include a stack probe adaptor as well as the ability to upgrade to petrol vehicles.
