SAF support longer trailer trial
IMS Limited, the exclusive distributor of SAF Axle Systems in the UK and Ireland announce the development of both the SAF Intradisc and Intradrum systems for self-steering axles, as part of the Department of Transports public consultation to consider extending the maximum length of semi-trailers. Arran Leatherland, Sales Manager at IMS Limited explained, "We have been supplying the SAF Intradisc system for self-steering axles for many years to the UK and Ireland trailer market and successful meeting current turning regulations. We are now pleased to announce the availability of the Intradrum system as a self-steering axle for trials. Both the SAF disc and drum brake systems are available for 17.5", 19.5" and 22.5" wheels in self-steering axles." Arran continued, "We are also able to supply within the trial programme, positive steering axles, these allow fitment of electro-hydraulic steering systems both as a direct steering axle, or a turntable system." IMS Limited are exclusive distributors in the UK and Ireland for the OUTSET on-board weighing system. Weighing systems are required as part of the trials.
