After adding two Krone Dry Liners to the fleet last year, Cranleigh Freight Services has taken delivery of three Krone Profi Liner curtainsiders. The trailers feature pre-galvanised outer frames and corner posts as well as side and underrun protection.
Will Porter, fleet manager at Cranleigh Freight, said: "Krone trailers have a very good name for being robust and reliable, their reputation precedes them. On top of that, Krone UK was able to offer us competitive pricing and good lead times.
"Their aftersales service has also been excellent. If we need anything our workshop manager just pings an email to Krone UK, and we get the parts within a couple of days. They haven't missed a beat."
The Profi Liners will be put to work on Cranleigh Freight’s growing general haulage operations for UK and European-wide jobs. Inside, the trailers feature keyhole plates that come as standard for better security for sensitive and valuable loads. Compared to the last generation, the Profi Liner improves external beam strength by 30 percent and offset curtain rollers facilitate a smooth curtain-sliding motion.
The company’s Dry Liners are used for event logistics across the UK and Europe. The design of these trailers features a robust chassis with reinforced diagonal framework. The modular chassis is Krone’s universal platform that has optimised welding assembly and a robust bulkhead connection. A raised front rail comes as standard and protected lights are mounted on the ramp-compatible rear so if an accident occurs the trailer should have better stability.
Porter added: "The Dry Liners are ideal for transporting goods for events and tours. The extra anchor points on the side raves are very useful for ensuring loads are secure."
Krone trailers are built in Germany and Krone Trailer UK sells products to customers in this market and provides aftersales care.
