New Mercedes-Benz dealership for MBNI Truck & Van in Northern Ireland

MBNI Truck & Van will invest £4.5m in a new facility in Dungannon. The sole Mercedes-Benz commercial dealer in Northern Ireland is expected to create an additional 20 new jobs when the site opens towards the end of the year. 

In 2023, group CEO Pauline McKeating took majority ownership of the business from entrepreneur Neil McKibbin who will continue as chairman. After being the group finance director for nearly 24 years, McKeating took on the role of CEO in 2022. The group encompasses businesses operating across Northern Ireland and the south of England including MBNI Truck & Van, RentaMerc, and Rossetts Commercials.

McKeating said: “I'm delighted to officially announce the development of a brand-new state-of-the-art Mercedes-Benz dealership in Dungannon. This multi-million-pound investment is a testament to cementing our place in the Dungannon area and expanding our reach throughout Northern Ireland."

Once the premise is complete the Mercedes-Benz Truck & Van dealer will move to the new site behind the M1 service area in Dungannon. The multi-acre location will feature three drive-through truck maintenance bays and eight light vehicle maintenance bays. Alongside its commercial vehicle offering MBNI will provide after-sales service for Mercedes-Benz passenger car customers. 

To support its servicing and maintenance facilities, the site will feature a parts store, electric vehicle charging infrastructure and space for vehicle sales. The Dungannon base will also provide a new office for RentaMerc. 

Works began at the start of January 2024 and whilst the site is in development the group is employing for several positions in preparation for the site opening. Provided construction runs to plan, MBNI hopes to be settling into the new Dungannon premises in the second half of 2024. The group is looking to employ commercial vehicle technicians, service advisors, parts advisors, and administrative staff.
