Britcom has promoted two members of staff into associate director positions. Brent Carmichael, who joined the company in 1992, is now Britcom’s associate director of engineering, and Adam Day, appointed in 2005, is now its associate director of sales.

Carmichael, the longest serving out of the duo, was Britcom’s workshop manager, and after the firm moved to its 14-acre site in Market Weighton, he was promoted to engineering manager.

He explained to CM what his latest role entails: “My latest promotion to the position of associate director will allow me to concentrate on developing the engineering side of the business, working with old and new customers alike, forging relationships with stakeholders and ensure Britcom is set to cope with the legislative demands in a rapidly evolving industry.”

Day was business development manager when he joined, before a decision to focus on Britcom’s UK used vehicle sales operation saw him become UK sales manager.

“The promotion to associate director will allow me to contribute to the strategic direction of the business which is a challenge that I am very much looking forward to,” Day commented.

Britcom’s joint MD, Chris Urwin, praised their commitment to Britcom: “These promotions are well-deserved for two loyal and committed employees who have already contributed to Britcom’s success over recent years”.
