IVECO will be displaying its complete range of LCV and trucks at the Road Transport Expo (RTX) this week, including the IVECO eDaily, S-Way 570, S-Way 460 Natural Gas tractor units, and the X-Way 8x4 rigid.

The IVECO eDaily will be on display in the form of an innovative 7.2-tonne box van utilising the Daily’s strong truck-based chassis.

Operators of the new eDaily can take advantage of features such as a towing capacity of up to 3.5 tonnes, a pioneering modular battery concept, and game-changing 15kW ePTO.

This 7.2 tonne box van serves as a canvas for innovative body builder decarbonisation solutions. Fabricated by Bodywork Solutions using Omnia recyclable lightweight panels, this three-battery vehicle is the ideal EV for zero-emission ‘final mile’ deliveries. Fitted with a Trailar roof-mounted solar panel, this eDaily can use energy captured to power its tail lift, something that can result in an additional 25-30 miles of range in a working day.

The flagship IVECO S-Way 570 and 460 Natural Gas sibling are also making an appearance at the show. When run on biomethane, the IVECO S-Way Natural Gas can reduce CO2 emissions by up to 95% versus an equivalent diesel truck.

Both IVECO S-Ways provide excellent driver comfort, plentiful storage, and leading technology such as IVECO Driver Pal, a digital driver companion in partnership with Amazon Web Services. Its Alexa voice-activated assistant enables the driver to check vehicle health and request assistance when required. It can also help set the navigation enabling the driver to focus on the road ahead.

The IVECO X-Way is available in ON, ON+ or rugged OFF specification ensuring mission suitability. A tough chassis together with optional advanced Hi-Traction grip system makes it capable of handling the most challenging off-tarmac missions.

Equipped with either a 12-speed or 16-speed Hi-Tronix automated gearbox, as well as an automatic transmission, operators can boost traction with Rocking Mode, Off-road Mode, Creeping Mode, and 4 reverse gears to tackle the toughest of terrain.

The IVECO X-Way can be bodied as a tipper, mixer, hook lifter, crane platform and much more.

Those attending the show on day two will also have the opportunity to gain some fascinating industry insight via ‘The Big Debate.’

IVECO UK truck business line director Gareth Lumsdaine will be there taking part in a discussion about the future of trucks hosted in The Knowledge Zone.

The IVECO Daily Chammoth will also be in attendance with the natural gas-power social media sensation helping to raise money for the charity Transaid. As agile as a cheetah, as tough as a mammoth, this mythical creation hosts a built-in coconut shy designed to challenge visitors.

Showgoers will also have the opportunity to get behind the wheel of an IVECO S-Way Natural Gas and X-Way 8x4 rigid that are available to test drive in the Ride and Drive area.

Lisa Fuller, brand marketing and communications manager, said: “We are delighted to be back supporting the Road Transport Expo with our complete range of light and heavy vehicles. From the 7.2 tonne eDaily to the 44-tonne IVECO S-Way, the stand is packed with great vehicles.”

The Road Transport Expo takes place from 28 – 30 June 2023 at NAEC Stoneleigh in Warwickshire. Book your free ticket today!
