JOST GB will be demonstrating its revolutionary KKS automatic coupling system to visitors at the Road Transport Expo this month, taking place from 28-30 June at NAEC Stoneleigh.

Launched in April 2021, KKS enables the driver to couple and uncouple a semi-trailer via remote control – automatically, safely and quickly.

Operators can therefore increase efficiency, convenience and safety with one single product.

All this, said JOST, makes KKS the “future of logistics and a key component in autonomous driving”.

Visitors are encouraged to come and see the KKS system in action on JOST’s dedicated demonstration stand Y68 next to the Ride & Drive, with live showings taking place ‘on the hour’ every day starting at 10am.

KKS is just one element of JOST’s significant presence at the Road Transport Expo, with a wide range of innovation and technology on display on the company’s main inside stand, G51.

This includes the Drum Modular Axle (DMA) series. Developed as a direct result of customer feedback, the drum modular axles ensure maximum flexibility for every transport application because they can be combined with suspension systems from the company’s DLS range.

The DMA series combines a robust tubular axle with a modular leaf spring system, which can be adapted to match the customer’s individual specifications.

JOST said the most striking feature is the external brake drum design, which allows the brake linings to be replaced without having to disassemble the wheel hub – making it extremely easy to service and maintain.

In addition, JOST said the proven brake design requires minimal repair effort and offers maximum benefit to customers.

Another centrepiece of the stand will be TRIDEC’s EF-S+ which offers electronic steering with the option of controlling additional functions, such as the ramps and lights, remotely.

The EF-S+ boasts six additional hydraulic or up to 12 electric functions in a single remote control. It is also possible to upgrade the system with a soft-start mode, to make the hydraulic movements even more seamless and accurate.

JOST added that its portfolio therefore provides an ideal solution to the long semi-trailer legislation, which permits longer trailers on UK roads.

JOST GB managing director Danny Broomfield said: “We are very happy to welcome the audience at Road Transport Expo and to showcase impressive innovations and proven solutions of the JOST World, which encompasses the JOST, ROCKINGER, TRIDEC and Quicke brands.

“We look forward to making new contacts and meeting existing customers at stand G51.”

Road Transport Expo takes place from 28-30 June at NAEC Stoneleigh. It’s completely free to attend for visitor, so make sure to book your entry ticket today!
