MAHA UK will officially unveil the C_RGA mobile column lift at this year’s Road Transport Expo (RTX), which takes place from 4-6 June at NAEC Stoneleigh, Warwickshire.

The workshop equipment specialist chose RTX, with its ‘all about the truck’ focus, to be the ideal launchpad for the new lift that includes a lithium-ion battery as standard for the first time.

Combining established technology with new and innovative features, MAHA UK said the C_RGA mobile column lift increases safety, offers smart connectivity and reliability.

Available in both 7.5-tonne and 8.5-tonne options, it can also provide more lifts and less recharging thanks to the lithium-ion battery.

MAHA UK said the new C_RGA is a great all-rounder for vehicle maintenance work and comes with a host of features, including:

Smart connectivity - equipped with wireless data communication and a lithium-ion battery, the C_RGA guarantees quick charging and longer-lasting power to improve workshop efficiency.

  • New communications protocol - a double antenna (LoRa radio modulation) guarantees an interference-free operation, even in busy workshop environments. NFC tag pairing also simplifies and secures the connection process.
  • Oil-free operation -this results in little maintenance and a cleaner working environment.
  • Precision positioning - the high-quality worm gear motor ensures correct vertical positioning to provide users with an accurate and safe lift.
  • Optimised design - the slim column design offers an excellent overall view during manoeuvres, while the improved chassis allows for easy movement with the smallest turning radius.
  • Reliable back-up - ‘Daisy-chained’ charging cables guarantee uninterrupted use. This provides a reliable backup solution to ensure no downtime.

A four-person strong team – MAHA UK managing director Neil Ebbs and sales team of Louis Tunmore, Luke Fuller James Thompson – will highlight the bespoke features and credentials of the C_RGA mobile column lifts during the three-day Road transport Expo.

Additionally, a vast array of DVSA-approved equipment – LMS axle play detectors, MLT 1000 and 3000 headlight alignment testers, MBT 4250 and 7250 brake testers – and MCD 2000 communication cabinet, all connected with MAHA UK’s newly compliant EUROSYSTEM V8 software, will be available for visitors to delve into and try first-hand.

The company is confident the new lifts, as well as the various pieces of workshop equipment on display, will be a hit with Road Transport Expo visitors.

Ebbs said: “Our customers have known about the development and progress of these lifts for some time, so to officially break cover at Road Transport Expo and spread the word on a large scale is exciting.

“We are confident the new, smart features will appeal to the majority of workshops out in the market, many of which, we hope, will pay us a visit over the three days at the show.”

On the upgrades, he added: “We wanted to ensure any changes would make a positive difference to customers and make their lives easier.

“The lithium-ion battery, for example, will mean less downtime and more lifts. Also, the new battery design reduces the overall weight of the column, which, in turn, leads to enhanced movability around the workshop.”

The C_RGA’s predecessor, the RGA, remains available while stock lasts.
