At CM we scour the classified pages to find your ideal vehicle. Today we’re on the hunt for a decent quality used MAN TGX.

Powered by 6-cylinder MAN high torque, efficient, quiet and robust engines, ranging from 360hp to 640hp, the TGX range guarantees low cost of ownership and great operational efficiency, whether new or used.

The TGX cab with its mix of interior colours offers a comfortable living and working environment that is light and airy. Drivers have a commanding view of the road ahead and clear visibility in built-up areas.

HRVS Group

The HRVS Group has sites across central and north eastern England, from Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire through to South Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire.

Its head office is in Ripley, near Derby, with depots in Sheffield, Scunthorpe, Sleaford and Stoke-on-Trent, and customers range from small businesses to major UK fleets.

In Sheffield we found a 2015 (65-plate) MAN TGX 26.440, with171,000km on the clock.

The 6x2 tractor has steel suspension to the front and air to the rear. It is powered by a 12-litre Euro-6 engine, delivering 440hp through an automatic ZF gearbox, with a 450-litre fuel tank.

The XLX twin sleeper cab is finished in orange, and the paint, bodywork and interior are in showroom condition.

It has a radio/CD-player, with sat-nav and cabin refinements include electric windows and mirrors, a night heater, air conditioning, a fridge, and luxury seat covers.

There is more than 80% tread remaining on the tyres and it has new disc brakes.

This LEZ-compliant truck has one previous owner and comes with a full service history, full MoT and a six-month warranty. It is £49,950 ex-VAT.

Tomlinson says: “The unique selling point is that this truck was the 2018 CV show display truck. It is fitted with loads of extras, including new Speedline alloys and full light bars. MAN TopUsed

We found a 2015 (65-plate) MAN TGX 26.440 with 291,000km on the clock, at MAN TopUsed in Swindon.

Powered by an LEZ-compliant Euro-6 engine, delivering 440hp through a semi-automatic gearbox, this truck comes with the Aero and Efficientline 2 equipment packages.

It is fitted with MAN BrakeMatic, cruise control, Hill Hold Control, EfficientRoll, and speed limiter. It also has ESP, ASR, ABS, electric-heated kerb and wide-angle mirrors, and an immobiliser.

Inside the XXL cab is a digital tachograph, multifunctional steering wheel, board computer, cooling box, air conditioning, and an air-suspended driver seat with armrest and lumbar support. For entertainment there is a radio/CD-player with AUX and USB connections, and Bluetooth mobile phone preparation.

There are electric windows, an electric lifting sunroof, central locking with remote control, and an isolated driver’s cab.

The truck has a lift-axle, PTO, electric heated rear view mirrors, rear differential lock and spare wheel.

Asset Alliance

Established in 2010 Asset Alliance quickly expanded to become one of the fastest growing new and approved used commercial vehicle and transport providers in the UK.

In 2017 it completed its most recent acquisition – more than 300 light commercial vehicles from T.O.M. – further expanding its specialist vehicle options and increasing its assets under contract hire, operating lease, hire purchase, fleet management or rental to more than 3,000.

Asset Alliance has a late 2015 (15-plate) MAN TGX 26.480 for sale through its subsidiary ATE Truck & Trailer Sales in Wolverhampton, West Midlands.

With 355,000km on the clock, this tractor is powered by a Euro-6 engine, delivering 480hp through an automatic gearbox, with a 480-litre fuel tank.

The XLX twin sleeper cab has a CD-player, electric windows, seats, mirrors, night heater, and air conditioning.

Finished in white, the paint and bodywork condition is good, as is the cloth trim interior.

There is 60% tread left on the tyres and the disc brakes are in good order. On a wheelbase of 4m, this 6x2 has air suspension and is LEZ compliant.

Owned by the HRVS Group since new, it comes with a three-year MAN dealer maintained R&M warranty. With an MoT until March 2019, the truck is for sale at £31,750 ex-VAT.

The airsuspended driver seat has heated lumbar support.

Externally, there is a lift-axle, electric heated rear view mirrors, rear differential lock and a manual lifting roof. Safety features include ESP, ABS, anti slip regulation, and an immobiliser.
