Commercialmotor.com looks at the decisions that were made by the traffic commissioners this week following public inquiries.
No action was taken against Newcastle-upon-Tyne-based operator Mark Hogarth at a public inquiry (PI) in Leeds on 8 December.
Diss, Norfolk-based operator Leigh Scott Garrod had its O-licence revoked from today (23 January), following a PI in Cambridge on 9 January.
Garrod Construction, also based in Diss, was granted an O-licence for seven vehicles at the same hearing, with undertakings attached to its licence.
On 9 January, South East Heavy Haulage, which is based in London, was given a formal warning by the traffic commissioner at a PI in Eastbourne.
The traffic commissioner refused an application made by Shrewsbury-based SPH Plant, trading as Shropshire Plant Hire at a PI in Birmingham on 9 January.
Nationwide Fencing Services, based in Liverpool, had its O-licence application granted following a PI in Warrington on 9 January.
The traffic commissioner revoked an O-licence held by Carlisle-based William Allan & Elaine Allan at a hearing in Warrington on 9 January. Its application was also refused.
Ardent Scaffolding, based in London, was given a formal warning and accepted an undertaking at a hearing on 10 January in Eastbourne.
Transpeed Removals, based in Horley, Surrey, will have its O-licence revoked on 2 March, following a PI in Eastbourne on 11 January.
On 12 January, Edible Oil Direct, which is based in New Romney, Kent, had its O-licence revoked with immediate effect following a PI .
Hope Valley, Derbyshire-based Live Events at Networks3D had its application refused at a PI in Warrington on 12 January.
Maidstone, Kent operator London & South Scaffolding had its O-licence curtailed to five vehicles and accepted an undertaking at a PI in Eastbourne on 13 January.
Torpoint, Cornwall operator Wilco's Waste Management was issued with a formal warning with administrative undertakings following a hearing in Bristol on 13 January.
