Operators can now manage and apply for a new O-licence online with the launch of a revamped IT system by the DVSA and Office of the Traffic Commissioner.
The Vehicle and Operator Licensing system, which is hoped will speed up O-licence processing times, went live today (14 November) and allows companies to apply for an O-licence online for the first time.
Operators can also add or remove vehicles or transport managers to or from their O-licence, as well as check that their details are correct.
It replaces the Operator Self Service system which was switched off last week, but operators can sign in to the new service using the same log-in details.
The website has been launched in Beta testing mode, and the DVSA has encouraged operators to give their feedback.
The GV79 O-licence application form is still available on the gov.uk website for operators to print off should they not wish to apply online.
