Ten applications and decisions that caught our eye - 16 February

Commercial Motor takes a look at some of the applications and decisions published this week including Surefreight and Sovereign Transport.

Bigfoot Logistics has applied to increase the number of vehicles it can operate from the Lidl site at Brownhill Way, Nursling, Southampton, to 15 vehicles and 15 trailers. Bigfoot also wants operate the same number of vehicles and trailers from the Lidl site at Chillpark Brake, Clyst Honiton, near Exeter.

CAJ Haulage has made a new application for an international O-licence for one vehicle and 10 trailers to operate from 304 Walker Rd, Newcastle Upon Tyne. Director and transport manager is Craig Andrew Jefferson.

Wickford, Essex-based Eagle Haulage has applied to upgrade its licence from standard national to standard international.

HJW Haulage, with an operating centre in Llandeilo Rd Industrial Estate in Ammanford, has been granted a standard international licence for one vehicle and one trailer.

Paul Andrew Cleasby of Chard, Somerset, has applied for a standard international licence for one vehicle. Transport manager is Katrina Owens.

Mitchell Logistics has applied to remove its operating centre at Ayr Rd, Glespin, Lanark and be granted new authorisation for six vehicles and six trailers at 29 Furnace Rd, Muirkirk.

GAF French has applied for a standard national licence for three vehicles at 1 Callows Cottages, Ham Green, Upchurch, Sittingbourne, Kent.

Surefreight has asked to increase its authorisation to 60 vehicles and 20 trailers at its existing operating centre on Walkers Industrial Estate, Middleton, Morecambe.

Burlington Haulage has been granted a standard international licence for 10 vehicles and 10 trailers to operate from Long Lane, Liverpool. The TC has asked for financial details for the first three months of 2018 showing that the operator has access to the required funds.

Sovereign Transport has applied to increase authorisation at its operating centre in Bradman Rd, Kirkby, Liverpool to 39 vehicles and 40 trailers.
