Hauliers concerened about how Sheffield's Clean Air Zone, which goes live next year, may affect their business are encouraged to attend a free half-day event on 17 March run by CM sister title Motor Transport.
Sheffield City Council will present its air quality proposals and answer your key questions in an opening session, followed by three workshops exploring new technology and emissions-reduction strategies for fleets.
Attendees will hear practical information from fellow commercial fleet operators – Veolia, Sheffield City Council and Yorkshire Ambulance - around their trials with emerging vehicle technology and alternative fuels.
You’ll also be able learn top tips for reducing fuel consumption and operating costs through joining the ECO Stars scheme, as well as exploring rental and leasing opportunities for upgrading your fleet.
“At Motor Transport we are well aware of the challenges that freight operators face in ensuring their fleets comply with pending clean air zones across the country.
“We have therefore designed this roadshow to provide as much practical information as possible and enable operators a much-needed opportunity to engage directly with Sheffield City Council,” said Steve Hobson, editor.
