Under the Maintenance Provision Rating Scheme (MPRS), all 33 of DAF's truck sales dealers in the UK have achieved platinum status. The MPRS, supported by the DVSA and office of the Traffic Commissioner, is a performance indicator of commercial vehicle workshop and maintenance facility standards. Before the end of 2025, DAF plans to obtain MPRS platinum status across all its 127 UK service locations.

Platinum status is awarded "For workshops with the most advanced facilities, the highest levels of staff qualifications, and full compliance with the latest industry standards. This level is suited for operators at the cutting edge of maintenance technology and practices, ensuring full readiness for future vehicle trends, including electric, hybrid, and hydrogen-powered systems." This is the top tier of five possible MPRS classifications.

Ian Grant, customer service director at DAF Trucks UK, said: “Achieving platinum status across our sales dealer network is testament to the expertise, dedication, and professionalism of our teams. It reflects our ongoing investment in people, facilities, and technology, ensuring our customers receive the very highest level of service and support, today and into the future.

“For operators, working with a platinum-rated DAF dealer network provides absolute confidence in compliance, safety, and technical excellence. The MPRS platinum award proves that we not only meet, but exceed industry expectations, cementing our position as the market leader in the UK truck market.”

To achieve platinum status, each DAF sales dealer workshop was independently audited by the MPRS. Criteria included making sure all staff were trained in inspection and maintenance, at least half were required to be trained in electric/hybrid and gas/hydrogen technologies, with advanced technicians based at every location.

DAF dealer network locations also surpass ATF standards by providing additional services including ADAS calibration, LOLER inspections and test equipment. The idea is to equip workshops to handle the transition to new technologies and to get ahead of changing regulations.
