Located close to the Dartford Crossing and Junction 1A of the M25, Palfinger UK has opened a new depot. The site expands the company’s service network across the South East. Facilities at the new location include an eight-bay workshop, overhead crane and crane testing equipment, office space and customer parking.
A private launch event was held on 14 May, followed by a customer open day event the following day. Palfinger UK’s new depot supports its existing services which cover crane sales, parts supply, 24/7 nationwide service coverage and ALLMI-certified training courses in safe crane operation. The company distributes lorry cranes, hook loaders, skip loaders and Epsilon cranes for construction, recycling and forestry applications.
With in-house body building expertise, Palfinger UK can also customise vehicles to suit local authority, construction, waste and recycling, builder’s merchants and specialist transport jobs.
Palfinger UK is part of the TH WHITE Group which serves customers across agriculture, construction, energy, dairy, fire and security sectors. Established nearly two centuries ago, the group is a family and employee-owned business that focuses on engineering services.
Alexander Scott, CEO of the TH WHITE Group said: “Opening this depot represents a major investment in our infrastructure and our confidence in the opportunities presented in the region.”
Palfinger UK’s managing director, Stuart Todd, said: “We’re proud to be delivering even greater service coverage and response capabilities, helping businesses stay operational and safe. This network expansion and our continued innovation in both product and service provision further strengthens our premium position in the UK lorry cranes market.”
Gerhard Sturm, SVP Palfinger AG said: “The UK remains a vital market for Palfinger, and this expansion is a testament to the strong partnership we share with T H WHITE and Palfinger UK. Together, we’re committed to delivering world-class solutions to British customers.”
