Tony Barton joins West Pennine Trucks

Laurie Dealer has been informed that Scania dealer West Pennine Trucks has appointed Tony Barton as sales manager. The official statement says: "With 34 years experience of the truck industry in a vast number of factory, manufacturer and dealership roles at a senior level both technical and commercial, he is well equipped to head up our busy new sales department.

Keltruck supply 27 trucks to ECP

  Laurie Dealer can report that Midlands-based independent Scania dealer Keltruck will supply 27 new trucks to Euro Car Parts (ECP).

  Laurie Dealer can report that ERF is still doing a roaring trade. Most are heading overseas and there are plenty of punters bidding for them, whether its domestic trade acting as an agent or overseas buyers going direct.    

SED 2011 used truck dealer event cancelled

  Laurie Dealer has just heard that SED 2011 has been cancelled. In the past many truck dealers have attended the event, acting as representatives for the manufacturers. Independents have been there too, including Huddersfield-based Mac's Truck Sales and Bicester-based Kel-Berg proved became mainstays at the event.
