Mark Harper MP, Secretary of State for Transport, will be delivering a ministerial keynote - via video - to visitors on the opening morning of this week’s Road Transport Expo (RTX).

The transport secretary's speech will launch a morning of 'Transport Compliance Briefings' on 28 June, brought to you by Logistics UK covering a range of topics such as the Direct Vision Standard, HGV safety, Clean Air Zones, training and apprenticeships.

Attendees will hear from leading industry experts during the morning session, including Traffic Commissioner for the West of England Kevin Rooney and senior members of the Logistics UK team.

Speaking at the conference will be Jonathan Walker, head of cities and infrastructure at Logistics UK, who said: “I am delighted to be taking part in Road Transport Expo this year.

“It is the perfect opportunity for operators of HGV fleets to come together and debate the key topics of the sector, and I look forward to speaking alongside leading industry figures as part of a panel discussion on DVS and HGV truck safety, as well as providing an update on clean air zones and zero-emission zones.

Walker added: “HGVs are a vital part of the supply chain and I urge HGV operators of any fleet size to attend.”

RTX is a free-to-visit ‘all about the truck’ tradeshow, now in its second year. It brings together more than 200 leading manufacturers and suppliers, alongside a daily programme of drop-in conference talks, product demonstrations and a Ride & Drive experience.

Taking place at NAEC Stoneleigh from 28-30 June, RTX is a fantastic event for anyone involved in the running of an HGV fleet, so why not head there later this week? Find out more and book your ticket today!
