Rochester-based Neil Yates Recovery has invested in Totalkare equipment to improve its workshop efficiency. The new equipment includes cable-free mobile column lifts, mobile brake tester and mobile shaker plates. The fleet is predominantly made up of tri-axle vehicles so the firm opted for a set of six T8DC mobile column lifts.

The T8DC can be used in combinations of four, six or eight columns and its adjustable forks make it easy to switch between different vehicles for maintenance. The mobile columns take up very little space in the workshop and allow for flexible configuration for the whole fleet.

Investing in this equipment was a key time and cost saver so Neil Yates Recovery can brake test in house and streamline the process. The addition of shaker plates mean any component issues can be detected and dealt with quickly to keep its recovery vehicles in peak condition at all times. Maintenance on its recovery vehicles is crucial in maintaining the company’s reputation and reliability to recover vehicles whenever they are called upon.

Jo Williams, workshop manager at Neil Yates Recovery, said: “Totalkare’s products have been a game-changer for us. With our extensive fleet, it’s crucial that every vehicle is in perfect shape. The T8DC mobile column lifts, mobile brake tester, and shaker plates have not only improved our productivity but also instilled confidence that our trucks are always ready for action. We are very satisfied with Totalkare’s support throughout this journey.”

Adam Bowser, sales and marketing director at Totalkare, said: “Our T8DC mobile column lifts offer unrivalled flexibility and precision in vehicle maintenance, while the mobile brake tester and shaker plates bring substantial savings in time and costs. These investments will undoubtedly bolster Neil Yates Recovery’s ability to provide uninterrupted 24/7 support across the UK and Europe by ensuring vehicle safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.”
