In October, McPhee Mixers, part of TVS Interfleet, turned 40. To celebrate its 40th anniversary, McPhee has launched a competition to find the oldest McPhee mixer truck still in operation. From now until 29th February 2024, the company is asking individuals to submit details and pictures of their McPhee mixers to sales@mcpheemixers.co.uk.

The oldest registered mixer will be crowned the winner and invited to be on display at the McPhee open day in March 2024. Along with sitting front and centre at the open day event, the winner will get a luxury hamper.

Paul Nash, Manufacturing Director at McPhee, says: “McPhee is an iconic brand within the mixer industry and has a heritage spanning decades. As such, there have been several variations of our models over this period, and we expect, somewhere, that someone will have taken great care of their mixer from the 1980s and could still be using it today.

“We would love to find mixers from all the decades and invite them up to our factory for a collective photo, as well as a factory tour to see how we’re making McPhee mixers today. A lot has changed over the years, including the launch of the first fully electric mixer earlier this year, but it would be great to see the changes in the flesh.”

In addition to the competition, McPhee Mixers is continuing its anniversary celebrations throughout the year. Events at its factory will encompass a range of activities that will benefit and involve the local community. McPhee’s factory is based in Motherwell so the events will reach in and around this area to commemorate four decades in business.

McPhee is part of TVS Interfleet which includes SB Components, Priden, Wilcox and Purpose Bodies. The group specialises in supplying bodies for commercial and industrial vehicles.
