CM: How’s business?
ST: Business is going well. We’re seeing steady demand for used trucks in key markets. Our strong foothold in Africa has been a major driver of growth, and we’re now seeing promising opportunities in new regions such as the Middle East and south-east Asia. Customers appreciate our transparency, quality stock and smooth export processes. That said, challenges such as fluctuating shipping costs and evolving import regulations require us to stay agile and proactive.
CM: What’s been selling well recently?
ST: Lately, fuel-efficient and low-mileage tractor units have been our best sellers. Brands like Scania and Mercedes-Benz are in high demand due to their reliability, fuel economy and long-term cost-effectiveness. With rising fuel prices, businesses – particularly in Africa – are becoming more conscious of operating costs, which has driven interest in efficient truck models. Additionally, our flexible financing options have made it easier for customers to invest in upgrading their fleets without straining their budgets, ensuring they can meet the growing demands of their industries.

The high costs associated with newer technologies and the practical challenges of infrastructure readiness make adaptation a gradual process for many businesses. We recognise the nature of these challenges and are proactively working to align with evolving market demands, while ensuring that our customers continue to receive reliable and cost-effective solutions that are tailored to their operational needs.
CM: What’s keeping you awake at night?
ST: Staying ahead in a constantly changing market is always on our mind. Fluctuating market conditions, unpredictable shipping costs, and evolving regulatory requirements across different regions pose ongoing challenges. Ensuring that our stock remains competitively priced without compromising on quality is also a continuous balancing act. On top of that, expanding into new markets, while maintaining our high service standards, requires strategic planning and continuous effort. But we embrace challenges like these because they also drive us to innovate and improve every day.
