Some 90 employees at Kuehne + Nagel could elect to take redundancy after the company said is looking to move some of its activities at Chipping Warden, Oxfordshire, to other sites.
A statement provided by the company says: “To enable potential future business growth and maximise space and resources effectively, a proposal has been made to transition some of the company’s logistics activities from its site at Chipping Warden, Oxfordshire, to alternative Kuehne + Nagel facilities.”
The statement explains that while Kuehne + Nagel is “committed to seeking redeployment where possible” for its employees it does anticipate that approximately 90 employees may “elect to take redundancy as a result of the changes at Chipping Warden”.
Kuehne + Nagel has a national network of 120 sites. The Chipping Warden site holds an O-licence for 20 vehicles and 10 trailers.
