MJ Church has taken delivery of 10 new Scania P410 XT 8x4 tippers, and has a further five MAN TGS 8x4s on order.
The Chippenham-based operator, which has a 200-strong fleet, opted for Charlton’s SuperLite steel tipper bodies on all of them. The trucks have been built to MJ Church’s specific requirements, and feature high-hung tailgates with air-operated locking, electric sheeting with yellow mesh tarps, Hyva lifting gear and VWS weighing equipment.
“The SuperLite really is the ideal body for our operation” said company director Tom Church. “Being built in steel, SuperLite combines the strength to handle almost any type job from moving soil to carrying aggregates, yet is light enough to give us a really good payload. Whatever chassis we choose to put it on, we still get an easy 19 tonnes plus carrying capacity. We also really like SuperLite’s curved floor that makes load ejection clean and easy, as well as the body’s smooth, modern and generally uncluttered design.”
