20 new Scania 500S 6x2 tractors for Spalding-based FreshLinc

FreshLinc has taken delivery of 20 new Scania 500S Highline 6x2 mid-lift tractors, to be split across its FreshLinc, FloraLinc and DirectLinc divisions.

Commenting on the trucks, which were supplied by Scania’s Spalding branch on three-year R&M deals, FreshLinc’s fleet engineer Andy Marchant said: “We have once again chosen Scania as they continue to impress in terms of their fuel returns, driver acceptance and good service coverage, both in the UK and throughout Europe.

“The move to the larger S-series with Highline cab is due to its suitability for our European operations, as well as driver acceptance and residual values."
