Britcom, which was established in 1981, is one of the UK’s leading exporters and independent commercial vehicle suppliers. The dealer supplies used tractor units, rigids, trailers and vans, as well as plant equipment.
It has this 2014 Scania G410 4x2 tractor unit with sleeper cab and automatic gearbox, based at its Market Weighton site. The vehicle, which has covered 832,000km, also has a sliding fifth wheel.
Adam Day, UK sales manager at Britcom, said: “This truck is one of a large batch of ex-contract vehicles from a major supermarket that come with full Scania service history. It is suitable for anyone who runs into London and needs Euro-6, or customers who want to future-proof their fleet with more congestion zones planned.”
The truck includes air-conditioning, cruise control, a double bunk, sun visor, full air deflector kit, heated mirrors, side wind deflectors, ABS, disc brakes and EBS. Day said Britcom can also add extras to the vehicle in-house, as part of the company’s one-stop-shop approach.
“With limited availability on Euro-6 there are not many like this in the market, and we can provide a full range of services to modify the truck, for example stretch it and turn it into a rigid,” he added. “It is more suitable for the UK domestic market due to the Euro-6 engine, but can be exported as a whole or containerised for other markets; we can do all this in-house at Britcom.”
As with all the vehicles it sells, Britcom can provide a full inspection and road test; cosmetic and functional repairs; steam clean and valet; document administration; and aftersales support. Britcom also has a good choice of 6x2 vehicles available.
