CM’s used truck of the week is this 2015 Mercedes-Benz Actros 2545LS with StreamSpace 2.5m flat floor cab.
The Euro-6 vehicle, which has clocked up 181,000km, features a top bar with four spotlights, twin strobe lights in the grille, chrome wheel trims, full-size catwalk, as well as an A-frame torque rod to improve stability. It is based at the Avonmouth headquarters of dealer City West Commercials and will appear on the dealer’s stand at the Royal Cornwall Show in Wadebridge from 7-9 June.
Tim Sutcliffe, used truck sales specialist at City West Commercials, said: “The truck has been run by a large clothes supplier, pulling lightweight double-decker trailers. This would suit a company that wants a highly visible truck to show its business off in the best light.”
The truck, which was MoT’d this month and includes a service, comes with finance and dealer back-up if required. Sutcliffe said: “This vehicle has a nice specification, is a very low-mileage truck and has a great history of exceptional fuel returns.”
City West Commercials has other branches in Highbridge, Somerset, and Roche in Cornwall, and recently opened a facility in Exeter.
The drive-through, nine-bay workshop at the Exeter site, which is on the Greendale Business Park in Woodbury Salterton, features two 15m pits as well as ramps, while the building includes a parts department, offices, reception and a drivers’ rest area.
