Transport Select Committee launches driver shortage investigation
The Transport Select Committee has launched an investigation into skills and workforce planning in the road haulage industry, which will address what the government has or has not done to tackle the UK’s HGV driver shortage. While the investigation will cover policies from a range of government departments, the committee hopes to hear evidence from the DfT in particular, on a range of points:
