My favourite holiday destination is...

The Maldives, or camping in the Outer Hebrides.

I drive an...

Audi A4 estate.

My hobbies are...

Camping and watching motorsport – F1 in particular.

I got into the industry when...

I was selling consumables in the construction industry and fancied a change. Trucks and the motor industry had always appealed to me and I saw an advert for a job as a truck sales person.

To encourage more young people into the industry we should...

Be more positive in the industry. I find a lot of negativity in our industry and we often believe our own bad press. Apprenticeships are a good way, but they have to be commercially viable and that balance can be difficult to find.

The outlook for our sector of the market over the next 12 months is...

Positive. The heavy truck market has recovered since the recession and the unsettling time around the end of Euro-5 and into Euro-6. The Iveco Stralis is the best that it’s ever been and we are proving that to operators with our demonstrator. With the new Stralis XP due to come on the market this year with its other enhancements, we are a serious contender in the sector.
