60 second interview: James Bradshaw, asset manager, Truck and Plant Asset Management

Favourite holiday destination and why?
Cyprus

What car do you drive?
I currently drive a Mercedes CLS. In my opinion Mercedes are the best cars on the road.

Hobbies?
One of my main hobbies is surfing. I am also a Swansea City season ticket holder and go to every home game.

How did you get into the industry and why?
My family have been in the commercial vehicle trade for generations. My father Dave Bradshaw and my grandfather Charlie Bradshaw Senior took me to auctions as a child.

How would you encourage more young people into the industry?
An interest in the industry is ideal. I would like to see more companies targeting young school and college leavers to show them about the industry.

What is the outlook for your sector of the market over the next 12 months? 
Our main aim is to continue growing and to attract even more PLC/Council customers as we believe we save them a lot on transport costs and auction fees. Going back to the previous question, the more we grow, the more we can reach out to schools and colleges to show them a bit of the industry.
