I left school and went into the family business where I was taught and tutored by one of the best in the used commercial business, my stepfather Brian Burson. Accompanying him to auctions, I’d meet other people in the trade.


To encourage more young people into the industry we should...
Encourage and continue apprenticeships that many manufacturers have already introduced. Nothing learnt is ever wasted.


The outlook for our sector over the next 12 months is...
Good. The marketplace is buoyant for late, low-mileage well-maintained vehicles and we have not seen a downturn since Brexit.
