My favourite holiday destination is….
New Quay in Ceredigion, Wales. It’s a peaceful pocket of non-commercialism.

I drive a…
Kia Sportage.

My hobby is…
Ice skating.

I got into the industry when…
I side-stepped from a retail [marketing] background, driven by a strong need for cash and an odd fascination for lorries as I then called them. What I wasn’t prepared for was the vast amount of technical knowledge needed and 13 years later I still find myself scratching my head over the angle of a particular self-tracking axle or the load-bearing capacity of an Omega floor. I’m blessed, however, with an insatiable appetite for how things work, which has proven handy.

To encourage young people into the industry we should…
Communicate that the logistics and transport sector offers a career full of challenges and rewards.

The outlook for our sector over the next 12 months is…
Since 2007, Don-Bur has enjoyed several increasingly successful years and 2016 has already demonstrated the highest level of demand to date. It is forecast that this will continue into 2017. We do not anticipate that the recent referendum result will have any significant effect on our business in the short- to medium-term.
