The Volvo FM and FMX have both received a mild makeover, with new looks and improvements to safety and efficiency. These are the first notable changes to the ranges, which were launched four years ago.
In line with the FH Aero, the new trucks feature revised exteriors, identified by a bigger Volvo Iron Mark badge. They will also be offered with the Camera Monitoring System (pictured). According to Volvo, in addition to improving fuel economy, replacing the exterior mirrors with cameras and screens enhances safety due to improved visibility.
Other changes include improved I-See technology and upgraded infotainment systems.
Commenting on the facelifted trucks, which will be available from mid-2024, Roger Alm, president of Volvo Trucks, said: “The heavy-duty Volvo trucks are icons in the industry and with the latest upgrades I am confident that we will further strengthen our position in this segment. Our skilled engineers have done a tremendous job in fine-tuning our heavy-duty trucks for reduced CO2 emissions, improved safety and even better productivity and customer satisfaction.”
