FTA Midlands head of policy Stephen Kelly has blasted Highways Agency plans to ban lorries from overtaking on the A14 j0-j1 eastbound and j1-j2 westbound from next March.
He discovered the plan through a contractor, not the HA. There has been no consultation and there is no evidence that a ban on the M42 j10-11 has improved car journey times, he says.
