Acumen shifts trucks to NETV

Acumen Waste Services is transferring the operating base of six vehicles and six trailers from its Stockton-on-Tees depot to a site within North East Truck & Van's Billingham HQ. At the same time the company has taken delivery of its first Iveco Stralis AS tractor.

"Transferring our operating base to NETV's premises provides the ultimate peace of mind, as our fleet is parked just yards away from a 24-hour all-makes workshop facility," says Acumen's senior operations manager David Bellshaw.

"It also means our vehicles are protected by NETV's around-the-clock security."

PSA-Fiat alliance reviewed

PSA Peugeot Citroën chief executive Jean-Martin Folz announced his retirement last week, at the press conference he co-hosted with Fiat boss Sergio Marchionne. Renault takes control of BRS

There's a major change at BRS, much the largest manufacturer-owned rental company in the UK. BRS no longer reports directly to Volvo Group in Gothenburg but to Renault Trucks bosses in France. A new five-year business plan to be presented in Lyon early next year. BRS, with more than 2,000 trucks is strongly associated with the Volvo brand, running mostly Volvo trucks maintained by the network.
