A&D Logistics has taken delivery of 12 FH500 tractor units from Volvo Used Truck Centre, Glasgow West.
The Renfrewshire-based firm, which has a fleet of 60 Volvos, plans to keep the latest generation FHs for 12 years. They come with the manufacturer’s 24-month warranty.
One of the trucks has a special livery to celebrate the haulier’s 21 years in business.
Alan Bolsworth, co-director at A&D Logistics, said the firm specifies FH 500 6x2 tractor units with a pusher/mid-lift axle, Dynafleet, I-Shift and Globetrotter XL cabs for all its used purchases.
“Ex-demonstration vehicles and used trucks up to a year old in our fleet specification are considered ideal and Alan [McGregor, Volvo’s used truck sales representative at Glasgow West] goes to great lengths to ensure the correct used stock is sourced and available at the correct time.”
A&D Logistics has disposed of its first Volvo used purchases - six FH12 420s - after 12 years.
