Protest convoy stopped on the M4
A convoy travelled from Cross Hands in Gwent down the M4 to Cardiff as part of the national fuel protests. Plans to head to the Welsh assembly in Cardiff Bay to hand in a petition were changed after negotiations with police. The convoy of nearly 200 trucks eventually stopped at the service station at junction 33 of the M4 on the outskirts of Cardiff to avoid causing gridlock in the city centre.
