Affleck leads changes at Imperial Commercials

Steve Affleck (pictured) has been appointed as regional director for Stoke-on-Trent at Imperial Commercials as part of a number of staffing changes at the DAF and Isuzu dealer.

Martin Jones becomes depot manager at Deeside, while Allen Whitby is the new aftersales executive based in Stoke-on-Trent. Recruitment is also underway to appoint a trucks sales executive for the North Wales area at Imperial Commercials.

Affleck said: “I am absolutely ready for the new challenge and I have a great team to help me deliver on our objectives, and the Stoke region certainly offers prospects to grow Imperial Commercials’ presence in the North West and North Wales.

“While many opportunities exist to develop sales, service and parts revenues, we will continue to deliver the Imperial Commercials commitment to exceeding customers’ expectations – it’s something I see throughout the business and it’ll continue in this region, too,” he added.

Affleck joined Imperial Commercials in 2006 as regional director for East Anglia, based out of the company’s Peterborough site. His appointment comes after Daniel Fitzjohn and Vincente Connolly became regional directors for Imperial Commercials’ Western and Birmingham regions respectively.

Affleck’s primary remit will focus on Imperial Commercials’ franchise with DAF, but he will also assume responsibility for Renault Trucks and Fiat Professional marques in the region.

“We’re bringing real strength-in-depth to the organisation,” said Imperial MD Matt Lawrenson. “Steve is an Imperial Commercials man through-and-through and he was instrumental to the success of the business in East Anglia. His vast experience will be crucial in developing our presence in the Stoke-on-Trent region.

“Similarly Vincente and Daniel boast hugely impressive CVs and a proven track record with the Mercedes-Benz brand. Together, we’re building a fantastic team of senior executives,” Lawrenson added.
