AIM Logistics has added 12 new DAF XF 480 tractor units to its fleet, supplied by Imperial Commercials Worcester.

It means the the temperature controlled transport specialist’s fleet is now 80% DAF.

AIM has operated a number of tractors across a range of major truck manufactures since 2004 and describes DAF as better “by a country mile”.

Company director, Ismail Elmagdoub, said: “DAF’s whole-life proposition made our most recent acquisition a no-brainer.

"We can purchase four new DAFs for the same cost as three from another well-known premium brand.”

“And, with consistent fuel returns of between 10 and 11 mpg on mixed work, and outstanding back-up from Imperial Commercials, it’s small wonder DAF now makes up the majority of the fleet.”

The new additions to the fleet coincide with the company’s move to a new £5m DC and cold-store.
