Alconbury Nightowl truckstop is rumoured to be under offer
The popular10-acre site, which includes a motel and truckwash, may be redeveloped for warehousing.
As Commercial Motor went to press it was confirmed that a major truck park near the A1 and A14 is in the initial stages of being sold the land may be used for warehousing.
The Nightowl Alconbury truckstop in Cambridgeshire has been serving up to 240 drivers each night for the past 15 years.
The 10-acre site features a motel, bar, television lounge, restaurant, shops and a truckwash. There are also diesel supplies.
However, the site was recently put up for sale with a rumoured price tag in the region of £5m.
The preliminary details released by estate agent Bidwells state: "There are no site-specific designations within the adopted Huntingdonshire Local Plan (1995) and therefore the presumption is that B1, B2 and B8 uses would be permitted."
These classifications cover offices, industrial processes and storage and distribution - CM has been told there are plans to use the land for warehousing.
Luke Wordsworth, Bidwells' industrial and retail administrator, says: "I've just been informed by the agent looking after the site that it is now 'under offer'."
Nightowl director Kenneth Donald was unavailable for comment as CM went to press.
